Library Learning Commons

The EAC Library Learning Commons (LLC) is a comfortable place for the community to read, learn and collaborate. EAC students, faculty, staff and families are encouraged to visit the LLC where they may access our rich and varied multi language collection of print and digital resources to support information and recreational needs.
EAC community members can access our Library Catalogue and other online resources including electronic books, magazines and academic subscription databases. Community members are more than welcome to visit and enjoy the comfortable spaces that exist within our LLC.
The EAC Library Learning Commons and staff strive to:
  • provide the widest possible range of timely curricular and recreational materials (both print and electronic) to all members of the EAC academic community;
  • ensure students learn and practice information fluency skills related to the use of these resources;
  • inspire critical appreciation of information and literature in order to promote successful, independent, lifelong learning.
Supporting the Curriculum

EAC students study information literacy and library skills across the curriculum from Pre-School through Grade 12. Pre-School and Elementary School students visit the library weekly for borrowing and lessons. Middle & High School students are welcome in the LLC before school, lunch time, after school and during leisure or study time. They also participate in information literacy lessons and practices integrated into their subject classes.

Library Learning Commons Hours

Monday to Friday: 7:45 to 16:50

The LLC is closed during school holidays and occasionally has early closure due to special events.

Library Learning Commons Volunteers

Volunteers are welcome at the EAC LLC. We especially need parent partners to help out with special programming, displays, shelving, and more!
