About EAC

Greetings and welcome to the website of the Escola Americana de Campinas (EAC). EAC is situated on a beautiful, lush garden-like 12-acre purpose-built campus located in Campinas, Brazil.

EAC an independent, non-profit, co-educational day school that serves students ages 2-19. EAC holds accreditation from the Council of International Schools (London, UK) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (Boston, USA). EAC offers the Montessori Program in the Pre-School, a complementary standards-based American program and Brazilian program in the Elementary School and Upper School (Grades 1-12), and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Grades 11-12. EAC students have an opportunity to earn an American High School Diploma, a Brazilian Ensino Médio Diploma, and an International Baccalaureate Diploma.

EAC is a close-knit school community that possesses a compelling vision and mission that calls for a commitment to…be a community of globally minded and life long learners reaching our fullest potential… More specifically, we strive to help our students develop into GIANTS.

A talented multinational faculty supported by a committed administration strives to realize this mission by challenging students intellectually and supporting their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.

Working in partnership with parents, EAC supports students to develop their talents and pursue their interests and passions in the areas of academics, arts, technology, athletics, and global citizenship. Tomorrow's diplomatic, business, educational, and scientific leaders are enrolled in our school today.

EAC is a school very much on the move. Committed to continuous improvement, EAC has an adaptive strategic plan in place (EAC 2021) that serves as a blueprint for our future. The plan challenges our school to respond to a rapidly changing world with thoughtful and innovative actions to ensure every student achieves his/her personal and academic potential.

The days and years ahead living in Campinas, Brazil and being a part of the EAC community hold remarkable possibilities. If you have any questions about the school and/or community, please feel free to contact me.
